DEATH FROM WOUNDS
Algerian Foreign Minister (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) ALGIERS, May 5 The Algierian Foreign Minister (Mr Mohammed Khemisti) died today, 24 days after an assassin shot him in his head. The 33-year-old Minister had lain in an Algiers hospital in a coma since he was shot by a young Moslem fanatic outside the National Assembly building in Algiers on April 11. Mr Khemisti was one of his country’s most successful young revolutionaries, Reuter said. He joined the Algerian Provisional Government as chief personal assistant to the President, Mr Aberrahmane Fares, after the signing of the French-Algierian cease-fire last year. The Prime Minister (Mr ben Bella) chose him last September as Algeria’s first Foreign Minister. He accompanied Mr ben Bella to the United Nations and Cuba last November.
