RESERVE BANK
Govt. Debt Reduced Net Government indebtedness to the Reserve Bank was reduced by £7.2m in the week ended May 1. Trading banks’ deposits with the bank fell £6.lm and their borrowings from the bank fell £l.2m. Sterling and other exchange held by the bank rose £o.9m to £47.5m.
