Sir, I wholeheartedly agree with your correspondent’s concept of the sign for pur new decimal unit. What could be simpler than a “Z” sign crossed by two diagonal lines? It could be easily typed on a standard keyboard. With such a simple procedure it would not be worth while going to the expense of fitting special keys to all of the typewriters in the country.—Yours, etc., PLODDER. May 2, 1963.
