Vehicle Strikes Power Pole

TIMARU, May 2. A man who apparently collapsed at the wheel of his car was taken to the ■Timaru Public Hospital just after 9 a.m. today, but. on arrival was found to be dead. He was:

Robert Hudson Wilson Thomson, aged 57 of 17 Irvine street, Timaru.

Mr Thomson’s car was seen to go out of control as it travelled east along Waiita road toward the junction of Le Cren street. Lt struck a power pole, then veered across the roadway on to the footpath on the south side before coming to a stop op a channel crossing near tht corner.
