Photographers and reporters who scaled a wooden platform to look over the wall were drenched by several shots from the water cannon.
Hundreds of West Berliners mostly workers living in the Elsenstrasse area, gathered near the scene, the Associated Press said. Police cordons held them back from the wall. Angry shouts were hurled at Eas - German guards freeing the armoured car
