(NZ.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) SYDNEY. April 15 A casual racegoer. Miss Noreen Rohan, of Elizabeth Bay. a Sydney harbourside suburb, collected 15430 5s when she struck a winning 5s double at Randwick today.
The return was an Australian record for a double and represented odds of 21.720 to one.
Miss Rohan, who said she picks doubles on hunches, coupled Persian Puzzle in the Danger Welter Handicap, with the winner. Cold Cuts, in the FernhiU Handicap.
In addition, she had 5s each way on Cold Cuts, which yielded her £5B »s 3d. and then she struck the Cold Cuts—Arctic Star double for a further return of £93 14s 3d.
