YACHTING R. Tasker Disqualified In Fifth Race

AUCKLAND, April 15.

Because he failed to yield right-of-way soon after the start, the Australian yachtsman. R. Tasker, was disqualified from the first placing he had gained by a margin of 24 mm in the fifth interDominion Flying Dutchman yacht race on the Waitemata today. The yachtsman who put forward the successful protest against Tasker was I. M. Pryde, who finished second in the race and now leads the contest with one race to go. In the sixth race Tasker finished third in a race which was dominated by N W. Brooke, of Melbourne, who was Tasker’s reserve skipper in the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. Dropping a worst performance. as each skipper is entitled to do during the series the points to date are:— Taurus I. M. Pryde and J Hansen (Auckland) 645 T Calpreta J.
