Senior Matches On Monday On the reeonunendation of Mr J. Storey it was decided not to play any competition Rugby on June I—the day of the second test against England. Senior and senior reserve matches only would be played on Queen’s Birthday Monday. Mr Stray explained that If senior matches were played on Queen's Birthday Monday the annual reprasantative match against Mid-Canterbury would have to be transferred to August. The meeting decided that the closing date lor entries in the competitions would be April 8 at 5 p.m. Marist WttMrawal The action of the Marist club in withdrawing its teams from the under Sst grade should not make any appreciable difference to the number of teama taking part in under-weight grades, said Mr C. Hoe, the Junior Advisory Board delegate. He added that the indications were that there would be an increase in the number of teams from other clubs. Gift To School The director of the Templeton Training School thanked the management committee for its gift of jerseys, socks and shorts for pupils at the school.
