The New Zealand ; women’s golf champion, i Miss P. Harrison, is leav- j ing Dunedin this month to ; take up an appointment in i Hamilton. As a member of ; the Otago Ladies’ Golf Club she won the national title last year and toured Australia with the New Zealand women’s team. * * * Warren Smith and Peter Doogue, who represented the South Island at indoor basketball last season, are again expected to take a prominent pan in the Canterbury Men's Basketball Association s senior competition. which begins on April 9. Smith has been a member of the provincial side for several years and its captain for the last two. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that he will be available next season. He is a university student and will probably be returning to his home at Hamilton when he completes his studies.
