Unidentified Body
(N.Z. Preu Association) ROTORUA, March 5.
A post-mortem examination was carried' out in Rotorua this morning on the body found yesterday near Taupo. A report by Dr. R. W. Ensor, a pathologist at Rotorua Hospital, has not been completed. The examination is hoped to reveal details including age and race.
' The body was found by hunters beside a log near the Hinemaiaia stream, which rises to the east of Lake Taupo in high country, 15 miles from Taupo. Beside the body was a kit brg, some empty jars, a torch and batteries, and a number of magazines carrying 1980 datelines. Neither the clothing on the body nor toe contents of the kit bag have given police any clues as to toe identity of toe body.
