Cup Can Now Be Jumping Race

As from this year, toe race foe the Duke of Gloucester Cup can be either contested on the flat or over a steeplechase course.

Up to the present it has been a flat race, but the Duke of Gloucester has given toe New Zealand Racing Conference permission for toe alternative.

As in the past, the race will be still for amateur riders. Thia year it will be staged in the South Island, and applications from clubs seeking the race must be in by March 8.
