FOUNDATION FOR THE BLIND

Garden Party Held More than 100 members of the auxiliary of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind ’attended a garden party on Saturday given by the management of the branch. They were ■ entertained with vocal and piano items. The manager of the branch (Mr G. F. ‘C. Ashdowne) thanked the auxiliary tor the work of- escorting,, letter writing, driving, reading, and sewing done by its members. He said the auxiliary’ was now 250 strong, and through its example a similar organisation had been formed in Auckland.
