A lifebuoy off the freighter Turaklha, sunk in the Tasman by the German raider, Orion, on August 20. 1940, hae been sent to the New Zealand Shipping Company by the former master of the raider. Captain Kurt Wbyher. Captain Weyhes, now living In retirement In Wilhelmshaven, mid in a letter the lifebuoy had been kept to remember a brave opponent.
