“The Press" Special Service TIMARU, February 21. Values were fully up to recent rates. If not slightly better, at the annual Holme Station ewe lamb and two-tooth ewe fair yesterday. The entry totalled about 12.000 head, compared with 11,000 last year. Quality of the offering was considered to be the best ever seen at the fair. Values were:—
Best Romney two-tooth ewes. 90s to £5: good. 80s to 89s: medium, 70s to 795; and small. 60s to 60s. Best Romney ewe lambs, 67s to 725; good. 62s to 665: medium. 55s to 61s; and small and plain, 31s to 50s.
