Tractor Driver Killed

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Feb. 15.

A farm hand was killed at Summerhill, Kaitangata, this afternoon after a tractor he was driving slithered on wet grass and crashed over a 20 foot bank. He was

John Ormand, aged 29, married, with .three children.

Ormand was thrown clear of the tractor, but was hit by the drawbar of a set of discs which had broken free. He retained consciousness only for a short itme. Just before the accident Ormand and his employer, Mr W. Marshall, had decided the grass surface of the hillside they were discing was too wet to continue.
