Tulloch’s Dam Goes Too

(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Feb. 14.

Rapido, tfiie top New Zealand three-year-old was loaded aboard the Cap Ortegal at Napier this afternoon.

Purchased by Mr W. A Hawn, of Dallas, Texas, for 15,000gns, Rapido will travel aboard the ship to Honolulu, where he and the other horses on board will be flown to America. The ship sails tonight.

Also on the journey will be Florida, dam of the champion Tulloch, and three trotters, Smoke Concert, Speedlight and Dew Heath. The trotters, still owned in New Zealand, are to be trained at the Bay Meadows race track, San Francisco, under one of America’s top trainers, J. Grenier. All three have been in full work before being loaded aboard the Cap Ortegal, Smoke Concert having eight wins to his credit, Speedlight nine, and Dew Heath one.

The horses will be in quarantine for three days in Honolulu.

Accompanying the horses is Mr N. A. O'Halloran, of Wellington, owner of Smoke Concert.

Plans For Dual Acceptors

The programme for three double acceptors for Riccarton tomorrow were settled yesterday. McCool was scratched from the Queen Elizabeth H Handicap and will run in the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes. Neron will run in the V’indsor Castle Handicap instead of the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes. Bodkin will start in the Balmoral Handicap.
