Fairlie Lamb Fair
“Tht Press" Special Service UMARU, February 13. Values improved on last year by 12s to 18s a head ait the annual Fairlie ewe and wether lamb fair yesterday. The entry totalled about 15,000 head, comprising 10,000 ewe lambs and 5000 wether lambs. A big gallery followed the sale and the offering comprised well grown lambs which came forward in good condition. Competition was keen throughout and one pen of ewe lambs realised 86s. Values were:—Best Romney ewe lambs 68s to 86c. average to good 56s to 675, and small 40s tn 555; best Romney wether lambs 39s to 42s 6d, average to good 33s to 365. and small 27s 6d to 30s. iiimiiimiHHiiH
