TV SETS
Sharp Rise In Production
Nearly three times as many television sets were produced in the first nine months of last year as in the corresponding period of 1961, according to the January Abstract of Statistics. The figures are 39,139 and 13,698 respectively. The production of radios fell from 109,275 sets to 7,046 in the same period. Since the production of television sets started in 1960, C 7.976 sets had been manufactured up to September, 1962. By the end of November last year 61.391 sets were licensed.
