NEW BRIERLEY MOVE
Take-Over Offer For Billiards (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 13. A take-over offer has been made for the Wellington firm of Billiards, Ltd, by R. A. Brierley Investments, Ltd. The Billiards directors (Mr J. C. Morrison and Mr H. T. Egley) have told shareholders they consider the offer of Ils for each ordinary or B ordinary share reasonable and have indicated that they propose to accept it themselves. Last Sales Billiards shares were last sold on the Wellington Stock Exchange in December at 9s 3d. They have unofficial Listing. The take-over offer is binding on the investment company only if acceptances for half of the 50,000 10s shares are received by February 28. R. A. Brierley Investments, Ltd, was formed in March, 1961. and was granted unofficial listing late last year. Fashions’ Dividend.—Fashions Holdings, Ltd, Wellington, has raised the dividend for the year from 121 per cent, to 15 per cent. The final payment of 10 per cent, will be made on March 20. shares becoming ex dividend on March 14. Last year the company made a placement of 30.000 ordinary 5s shares at a 3s premium to achieve a sufficient spread of shareholding to qualify for official listing.
