AMBULANCE DRIVERS
Fines Imposed By Union (N.ZJ’.A.-Reuter—Copyright) GLASGOW, Feb. 11. The Scottish section of the giant Transport and General Workers’ Union will hear an appeal tomorrow by two ambulance drivers who were fined 10s each by their local branch. Their “crime” consisted of driving to the scene of a traffic accident a few minutes before they were due to go on duty. Several cars and an invalid carriage were involved in a crash in Sauchiehall street. Glasgow's main shopping centre, and since no other ambulances were available the duty officer asked Mr Eric Jeffries and Mr John Grant to go. Although it was just before they were due to start work, they agreed.
