White Killed By Africans
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, Feb. 9. A white businessman, Mr Armando della Torre, was hacked to death last night by a group of Africans in Langa African township, near Cape Town. Mr della Torre, aged about 50, who had been collecting debts, was seen running to his car chased by a number of Africans armed with pangas. Before he reached the car he was attacked and hacked to death. His attackers fled. Police believe robbery was the motive for the murder. Mr della Torre is the sixth white to be killed by Africans in South Africa this week. Five whites were killed by an African mob as they fled from caravans which had been set alight near Engcobo, in the Transkei.
