CALL FOR UNITY
Appeal In “Pravda”

The Soviet Communist Party today appealed for unify among all Socialist oountries. The appeal, in an editorial in the party newspaper, "Pravda,” said Russia favoured another meeting of world Communist Parties if it was considered cooventemt. Russia was also prepared to meet any other Communist Party in bilaiteral talks any time “irrespective of how significaurt the differences are” between them. The editorial said the Communist movement should not be drawn into another round of polemics. It stressed that "unity of the Communist Parties on the basis of Marxism -Lendsm, cohesion of the countries of the world Socialist community, is required as never before. “In the struggle against the forces of peace and socialism the camp of imperialism pins special hopes on aggravation of d.ivergences in the international Communist movement, on the split of the world Socialist system.
“Imperialist reaction is seeking by all means to sow discord between the Communist Parties. The Communists must not forget about this for a single moment.”
“Pravda” said controversy had artsen in the Communist movement over fundamental problems for world development “Representatives of individual parties, instead of a friendly exchange of opinion, took the road of attacks. utterly impermissable in relations between fraternal parties, ...” it said.
