(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK. February 10 R. Laver suffered the third successive defeat of his first Srofessional tennis tour of the nited States tonight when his fellow-Australlan. K. Rosewall, beat him 12-10 in a match in the Madison Square Garden before 10,000 people. Laver had many chances to get on top of the match but was unable to put away the vital points. Rosewall. although far from his top form, was able to steady his game when needed and come back strongly when leaver started the twenty-first game with three netted backhands. It was the only service break in an exciting match and Rosewall held his next service to win his first victory of the United States tour. Laver played close to his best amateur form but is still without a professional singles win in the United States.
