CEYLON OIL
New Moves Expected (N.ZP.A.-Reuter— Copyright) COLOMBO, Feb. 11. Observers today predicted the Ceylon Government would require the Shell and Caltex companies to reduce the price of their imports to that paid for Russian oil by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. The observers said that if the companies refused, the corporation, which has not yet compensated them for in. stailations it took over last year, would take over ail oil imports and distribution, putting them out of business. The proposal is being revived because the United States decided to suspend aid to Ceylon in the “absence of progress” towards compensating Esso and Calitex, the observers said.
