Answer to Correspondent.— Mr* M. Rayner: The Brewer ran second to Ngatoa ta the Grand National- at Riccarton on August 10, 1915. He carried 9-7 and was ridden by W. Easton. The race, worth 1500 sovereigns, was run ta Tmta 13oec, and the winning distance was 50 yard* Thirteen ran, but only five finished. The Brewer was the eleventh favourite. According to the "New Zealand Turf Register” he was owned by J. Smith. We do not know where you eould obtain a copy of »e pbotogrei* you mention.
