(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, Feb. 8. 'Die New York newspaper strike, now in its sixty-first day, has drained an estimated 70 million dollars from the economy since it started, the Associated Press said today. The personal impact has been offset in part by 6”T?,070 dollars in strike benefits reported to have been paid to date by nine unions. In the first eight weeks of the strike the publishers have lost an estimated 28 million dollars in advertising and 12 million dollars in circulation revenues. Employees tost about 24 million dollars to wages and fringe benefits, and news-dealers and other sales outlets lost about 685 million dollart.
