Brunei In Malaysia
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, February 7. The British Protectorate of Brunei today announced that it will join the projected Federation of Malaysia this year, the Associated Press reported from Kuala Lumpur.
Brunei last year agreed in principle to join Malaysia, but the Sultan stalled on a final decision in face of strong opposition from Brunei’s powerful Party Raayat (People’s Party) which later instigated a revolt.
