HOSPICE FOR DYING
Govt. Grants. £60,000
. (N.Z. Preu dssoctatton) INVERCARGILL, Jan. 30. The Government had approved a subsidy of up to £60,000 to help the Little Company of Mary, Invercargill, establish a 20-bed hospice, a hospital for the elderly sick and dying, the Attorney - General (Mr Hanan) said tonight. Mr Hanan said the total cost of the hospice was estimated at £llO,OOO, of which the Little Sisters would have to find £50,000.
Maori Nominee.—Mr Te Kaiarahi Hui, of Whangarei, has been nominated by Tai Tokerau district Ratana supporters for selection as Labour Party candidate in the Northem Maori by-election.—(P.A.)
