Elderly Woman Killed

An elderly spinster was killed instantly when struck by a car in Nelson on Saturday night She was: Maggie Emily Rumball. aged about 70, of the pensioners’ flats, Waimea road. The accident occurred at R3O in Waimea road, near Miss Rumbali's home. The car was being driven towards the city by lan David Mills, of 180 Collingwood street. Nelson. Fell Off Motor-eyelA— Frank Van Slooten, of 10 Walsall street, Riccarton, suffered minor head injuries and shock when he fell from a motor-cycle in Blenheim road about 650 p.m yesterday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital ( yclist tnjared.—When the cycle he was riding was struck by a truck in Baisweil road about 10.45 am. on Saturday, Raymond Eder, of 44 Tennyson street, suffered head injuries.
