Trip For Day (NZ. Press Association) BLENHEIM, January 8. Heavy rain overnight, the threat of rain this morning, and a warning that marginal airports might be closed did not deter the Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Bernard Fergusson) from making .iis planned informal visit to the Cobham Outward Bound School at Anakiwa this morning. Sir Bernard Fergusson arrived at the RN.Z.A.F Station, Woodbourne, in an Air Force Dakota, made the hcur-long journey to Anakiwa by road, spent more than an hour at the school, returned to Woodbourne, and flew back to Wellington Sir Bernard Fergusson chatted with the boys individually and took a lively interest in their activities.

The boys, a new intake of 48. carried on with their normal training schedules—bushcraft, canoeing, knot tieing. rope climbing and the confidence course.
