Sex Changes In Baby Girls (N .Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) COPENHAGEN, January 9. Scientific research has indicated the hormone prenaration "Pnmulot N” can cause sexual abnormalities in baby j J? taken by mothers during pregnancy, Danish health authorities have told distributors. A spokesman for the distributors—agents for the West Berlin manufacturers—said the authorities had asked them to warn doctors. The spokesman said the drug had not been banned and the authorities had not issued a general warning against its use. The authorities have asked distributors to alter their advertising in the light of the latest selenitic research. The authorities had requested withdrawal of a pamphlet issued by the company in which it was stated the risk of virilism (development of male characteristics) was excluded, as this was not in agreement with latest scientific information, the spokesman said. This information indicated such characteristics developed in about 20 per cent. at girl babies born to mothers who had used the preparation.
