WOOL POST IN FRANCE
New Director Appointed (HZ. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. A new director of wool promotion in France has been appointed by the International Wool Secretariat, according to advice received by the Wool Board. He is Mr Alain de Vandiere. Mr de Vandiere, who succeeds the late Mr Jacques Weber, has been employed since 1946 by the Groupe Prouvoet, the largest wool textile industrial unit in France. From 1946 to 1948 he was a wool buyer in Port Elizabeth and East London, South Africa. Returning tn the company’s headquarters at Roubaix in 1949 he spent the next two years selling products of the mill in France and overseas. For the last 11 years, Mr de Vandiere has been responsible for adverttmg and promotion throughout France of a wide range of Prouvoet's finished products. Making the announcement, the secretariat's regional director for Europe, Mr R. G. Lund, said: “Mr de Vandiere has first-class qualifications and experience tor the French directorship, which we regard as one of the two or three most important in our world organisation."
