Former Minister’s New Job

The former British Defence Minister (Mr Harold Watkinson> has been appointed a managing - director of Schweppes—a job said to be worth £30.000 to £50.000 a year, the “Daily Mail” reported today. Mr Watkinson, aged 52, was the centre of a recent House of Commons row over jobs in industry for former Ministers, the newspaper said. He w-ould become a mani aging-director with Sir Fredleric Hooper on January 1, and in a year’s time he would take over completely.
