Boxing Loi Wins Back World Title

Duilio Loi, of Italy, regained his world junior welter-weight boxing title on Saturday when he beat Eddie Perkins (United States) on points over 15 rounds. Lois victory evened the record between the two boxers. The 33-yeac-old Italian kept the title by drawing their first bout in 1961, but lost it to Perkins on points Last September. The Swedish boxing promoter, Advin Ahiquiet, has offered the world heavyweight champion, Sonny Liston, a minimum of one million dollars to fight the former champion, Ingemar Johaneson, in Gothenburg next season with an American referee.
