Ship Sinks In Channel
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 16. Rescue ships raced through the gale-swept English Channel today to save the crew of the German steamer Nautilus (3218 tons) who abandoned ship after sending a distress signal. Late this morning wreckage, life-belts and two empty dinghies were seen and it is feared the Nautilus is sunk. The 27-man crew of the Greek steamer Aristoles was rescued earjier off Lisbon by another Greek ship. The Aristotles is still afloat and is a danger to navigation.
