Contract Let In Wellington (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. The contract to rebuild Clyde Quay wharf for Wellington’s £750,000 shipping passenger terminal, was awarded to the Fletcher Construction Company, Ltd. There were five tenderers. The contract price was undisclosed. The contract involves 61.000 sq. ft. of new wharf built with timber piles and beams, with a reinforced concrete deck. The existing wharf will be widened 58ft to 116 ft, and will be lengthened 300 ft to 850 ft. Work is expected to start early next year and tenders for the terminal buildings are expected to be called about September.
