Santa Claus Busy Answering Mail

WELLINGTON, December 12 The recipient last year of about 2500 lettens from young New Zealanders, Father Christmas again this year, with the aid of secretaries, is coping with another flood of correspondence. The secretaries—all Post Office staff—are sending to children who gave their
name and address, a bright little card explaining feat Father Christmas will put something special in his sack, “but, of course, that’s a secret until Christmas morning." The letters have been sent to Father Christmas at such addresses as the South Pole, the North Pole, Mars, Fairyland, or just c/c the Post Office Each is being attended to by staff at the nearest chief post office. But sometimes Father Christmas is believed to be a resident of Greenland, Iceland, or Canada. So the Post Office is sending these letters on tn the countries nominated. Answers are reported to be coming back from the administrations there, too.
