Military Service Registrations

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 11, Youths due for military service have been slow to register although they have only till Thursday to do so. The Labour Department said today that all males born between July 1, 1942, and June 30, 1943, had to register, those not doing so being liable for call-up whether or not their birthday was drawn in the ballot Failure to register is an offence. It is also an offence for any employer to retain a person not registered for more than seven days.
