RACING Persian Star May Win At Pukekohe

"The Presi" Special Service

AUCKLAND. Nov. 30. Considerable interest will be taken in the outcome of the Auckland Cup Trial at Pukekohe as an early form pointer for the big handicap* to be contested in the next month or so. Persian Star, Foxdonna and Woodlora might dispute the finish, but they are opposed by a good collection of stayers. The Auckland Cup Trial, one mile and a half, is the first leg of the TA.B. double at the Franklin Racing Club’s first summer meeting.

The longer distances seem to suit Persian Star best. A solid gallop at Takanini on Thursday showed he is in grand condition.
