Detective Flies To Sydney
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 26. An Auckland C.LB. detective flew hurriedly to Sydney this morning with a warrant under the Fugitive Offenders Act for the return to New Zealand of Lewis Oakley McKenzie, formerly of Kingsland, on several alleged fraud charges involving valueless cheques. He has been arrested in New South Wales after the cabling of a provisional warrant to Sydney police. McKenzie will appear in a Sydney court on Wednesday and is expected to be given into the custody of Detective B. J. Stewart It is understood that McKenzie left by ship last September.
