DELAYED ELECTRA

Fault Found At Nandi (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 25. A mechanical fault in a Tasman Empire Airways. Ltd, Electra airliner at Nandi airport today delayed its departure for Auckland for 24 hours. The aircraft will leave Nandi at 8.45 am. tomorrow Spare parts for a propeller were flown to Nandi tonight a TE A L spokesman said. Passengers on the delayed flight spent today relaxing in the sun. he said. Two trans-Tasman flights which the Electra was to have flown today were completed by a Qantas charter aircraft A TEAL DC4 which left Auckland for Norfolk Island this morning was forced to reutro this afternoon. It could not land at the island because of bad weather. There were 15 passengers aboard. If the weather at the island improves the plane will leave Auckland at 8.30 am. tomorrow.
