Bits Of Junk
Novel bookmarkers will be issued with copies of a new book, “The Cruise of the Golden Lotus,” which tells the story of a junk's voyage from Hong Kong to New Zealand. The skipper, Brian Clifford, and an Auckland journalist. Neil Illingworth, who are the authors, have disposed of a discarded set of sails used on the voyage by cutting them into 6000 bookmarkers for the first printing. The strips of light-weight canvas will be stamped with details of the junk's voyage and issued with the books.
