. MR A. H. RAMSAY IN.Z. Press Association; AUCKLAND November 5. The death occurred tn hospital today of Mr Alexander Hugh Ramsay, general manager of the South British Insurance Company. Ltd He was 57. Mr Ramsay had been ill for some time and underwent a major operation six weeks ago. He served the company in New Zealand, Australia. India, England, and Kenya and was appointed general manager early in 1956. Mr Ramsay rose to major during the Second World War and was wounded in action. He is survived bv his wife and two daughters. Safe Blown.—A safe in the office of A. J. Palmer and Company, Ltd., stock food manufacturers. 355 Lincoln road, was blown open by explosives on Sunday night and cheques and cash totalling £ll2 14s 2d were stolen. There was £7 in cheques. '
