Ambition To Beat Snell (N2J>A -Reuter—Copyright) KINGSTON (Jamaica), Oct. 17. An old rival of P. G. Snell, who is determined to beat the New Zealander the next time they meet, is included in Jamaica’s team of 12 to compete in the Empire Games at Perth next month. He is G. Kerr, who was second to Snell in the Rome OlymJic Games, and will captain the amalcan team. Recently, Kerr won the 400 and 800 metres titles in the Central American and Caribbean Games. “It is my life’s ambition to beat Snell if he runs the 880 yards at Perth.” Kerr said yesterday. Four teenage girls who won the Caribbean Games sprint relay are included in the team. They are Carmen Smith, Ouida Walker, Adlin Mair and Dorothy Yates.
