An eight-month-old baby girl died accidentally in the rear seat of her parents' car on Monday night She was Karen Jam Wibon. the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Wilson, of 41 Liverton crescent Bryndwr.

The parents left the child asleep in the car while they visited relatives in Milton street. Sydenham. When they returned about 10 minutes later the child was found lying face down in an open empty four-gallon kerosene tin on the floor of the car. The child was rushed to the Christchurch Hospital but attempts to revive her were ut successful. I
