TEAMS COMBINE AT REACH
Opening Of Season
The opening of the rowing season in Canterbury will be marked by a combined ceremony at Kerr’s Reach today. The three clubs—Avon. Canterbury and Union—will take part in a massed rowpast. Each club will also hold its own opening and run club races later in the day. Canterbury is to hold its President’s Four race in addition to other events.
Both Union and Canterbury have reported about 13 new members. Avon has gained six members and more are expected to join within the next few weeks.
