CROCKERY IMPORTS

Allocation Increased

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 12, Double egg cups, bonbon dishes, cucumber trays and television tray and cup sets are among the items included in an amendment to the 1962 import licensing schedule released today by the Customs Department. After a survey of the crockery market it had been decided that the allocation for the code item 66.48 would be increased by 25 per cent, of the 1962-63 licences issued at July 31, said a Customs Department memorandum. The code item covers breakfast, dinner, tea and cofree sets, cups, saucers, plates and dishes. The additional licences which will be issued by collectors—there is no need for licence holders to apply—will be subject to the condition that certain articles cannot be imported at fo b. prices less than 35 per cent, on the present net price.
