NEW COLOUR FOR INDIAN GUARDS REGIMENT.—The President of India (Dr. S. Radhakrishnan) presenting a new Colour to the Ist Battalion of the Brigade of Guards, of which he is Colonel-in-Chief. Formed in the Punjab 200 years ago, the battalion has seen much action and has 32 battle honours. It served in the Burma campaign during the Second World War.
