Tennis PROPOSED N.Z. TOUR

Six International Players Named (N.Z. Press Association) I WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. The Imernatdomal Pratesstona.l Tennis Players' Association hopes to have a six man team available for New Zealand about February or March next year The proposed players are Mike Davies (Great Britain), Luis Ayala (Chile), Alex Olmedo (Peru), Andres Girneno (Spain), and Barry Mackay and Earl Buchholz (United States). A letter from the association was tabled at tonight's meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Association. A style of programming new to New Zealand for the matches was advanced.

"A suggested programme could be: quarter-finals, semifinals and final of singles matches over a professional set —the first to reach eight games —and one or two doubles teams subject to your selection. “This would give five singles and a doubles for each day which would be a lot of tennis and a very attractive programme,” the letter said.
