I. Paul Wins Senior Mile

The New Zealand outdoor 1500 metres speed skating champion, I. McDonald, was beaten into second place In the Canterbury provincial mile title by I. Paul at the Centaurus rink on Sunday. Paul, who finished second in the national indoor mile in August—McDonald was not in the field—broke away with three laps to go and won by about 20 yards.
